A little about me and why I finally became a blogger...

I love when the Lord strips away those things you are so adamant about.  For me, it was blogging or my lack there of.  Although I enjoy reading blogs, I decided a couple years ago that I would never blog.  As an extreme type A coupled with fear of man, I felt I wouldn't be able to handle the pressure I put on myself to maintain a worthy blog.  And now here I am.  I hear from the Lord through writing and journaling and in my desire to be more obedient in this area I have decided to join the blogosphere (and extend myself much grace in the quality of my blog).

A little about me and the fam...
The Lord has been extremely gracious to me and my family.  He continually amazes us with His sovereignty and powerful plans.  I think the theme of our life has been to plan (like I said, I am type A) and then for the Lord to quickly show us that He has completely different plans for us.  My amazing husband, Jeremy, and I have been married 10 years.  We are from small towns in west Texas and decided to move to the metroplex in 2004 for a couple of years but the Lord had different plans.  Plans to place us in Denton and give us a heart for this city and desire to raise our children here. We planned for Jeremy to be a teacher and some day administrator as he had just finished up his graduate work in education one year before the Lord again revealed to us His different plans.  Plans for Jeremy to come on staff at The Village Church Denton campus, originally as a student pastor and currently as a recovery pastor.

We have the privilege of raising two beautiful and rambunctious boys, Kaydon (4) and Layton (2).  They bring great joy to our lives and are definitely apart of our sanctification process.  We are also in the process of becoming licensed to foster with the desire to adopt.a child in CPS custody.  We are so excited to see where the Lord will take us down this road.  In addition to being a wife and mommy, I  work two days a week as a pediatric home health speech pathologist.  I love going into so many diverse homes of special needs kids and not only helping them with their communication and feeding skills but being able to minister to these families.

I am truly blessed and grateful for my family, friends, job, city, church, and Savior.
